Park Groenwijck

Park Groenwijck

Park Groenwijck brings 48 apartments into a park landscape on the edge of Hoorn. The development consists of four residential block, divided between two Water Villas overlooking the waterfront and two Park Villas set within the greenery of the site. Both pairs have a distinct architectural language. Where shifting windows give the Water Villas pattern that wraps around both volumes, the elevations of the Park Villas are organised in a grid, filled with a 3d brick pattern, giving a scense of depth to the facade. The project explores the relationship between architecture, landscape, and water. Carefully positioned within the park, the buildings create views, open spaces, while setting the new buildings within an established landscape.
